Choosing a photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make during your wedding planning process. You want to select someone you trust, whose work you're impressed by, and someone you want with you during the intimate and special moments throughout your wedding day.
Knowing that I will be with my brides for nearly their entire wedding day, I aim to provide them with not only an exceptional end product, but an incredible experience.
If we both decide we'd like to work together and have come to an agreed cost for services, it's time to make it official. You will submit your booking fee and I'll provide you with an online contract to complete.
Once you've had an opportunity to review my pricing and information, we will have a phone call to discuss how I can best serve you. These calls are usually about 30 minutes long and are a great opportunity for both you and the photographer make sure you're the right fit for each other.
The best way to reach out is through our online contact form. After you submit your information, you'll usually hear back within two business days. Be sure to include as much information about your big day as possible so I can get you the most accurate pricing quote.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Though I love traveling to capture images for my clients, I will not be offering wedding services outside of Marquette County, Michigan in 2020 or 2021.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE I GET TO SEE MY PHOTOS?
This ranges depending on the amount of time spent at your wedding and whether or not it's peak wedding season. Typically it takes anywhere from four to eight weeks to receive your final gallery. However, I will likely post a sneak peek of your wedding on my social media channels within days (or hours!) of the celebration.
HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I GET?
This will vary depending on the length of our contract, however I guarantee at least 350 images in your final wedding gallery. On average, I deliver upwards of 600 images for each wedding. If a photo is spectacular, I want you to see it!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS?
I started off as a second shooter in 2015 and I've been photographing weddings as the lead photographer since 2017.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH THINGS OTHER THAN WEDDINGS AND ENGAGEMENTS?
Absolutely! I also do portraiture photography, inclusive of families, children and individuals.
IS PHOTOGRAPHY YOUR MAIN BUSINESS?
I love photography, however I am not at a point where this is my only gig. I have a full-time job as the marketing director at a regional university.
DO YOU EVER BOOK MORE THAN ONE WEDDING IN A DAY?
Absolutely not. On your wedding day, you are my only priority!
DO YOU RECOMMEND A SECOND SHOOTER?
Yes! A second shooter is a great way to ensure that your wedding is getting all of the photography coverage it needs and deserves. The second shooter oftentimes is with the groom and his attendants prior to the ceremony and is able to capture additional angles of all of the big events during your wedding day. I have several second shooters I hold on retainer who are all fabulous!
ARE YOU WILLING TO FOLLOW A SHOT LIST?
Yes! While I love finding special moments that won't be found on a shot list, I know there are certain images that are must-haves for any client, such as formal family portraits. I ask that you provide me this list (including the names of who should be included in each photo) at least two weeks in advance from your wedding.
DO YOU OFFER PRINTING?
Yes! While my clients are not required to purchase their prints through me, they have the ability to order images directly from their final gallery if they choose to.
WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE?
I aim to capture timeless images that convey a love story. I like to blend together a photojournalistic, candid-style of photography at your wedding, along with styled and posed shots when needed and appropriate.
WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING FEE? IS IT REFUNDABLE?
I require a 50% booking fee up front to lock in your date. Once I receive payment and a signed copy of the contract, I guarantee that I will not entertain any other clients on your wedding day. The booking fee is nonrefundable. I typically receive several inquiries for any given date during wedding season and they are all booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
DO YOU HAVE BACKUP GEAR? DO YOU HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE?
Yes and yes. I have a backup camera body, lenses, memory cards and flash. I also have liability insurance, which many venues may require.
WHY DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?
It sounds cheesy, but I just love love! I can honestly tell you that there hasn't been a single wedding I've photographed or attended that I haven't cried during. Hearing two people promise to love, honor and respect each other for the rest of their lives in front of their friends and family is such a special, intimate thing, and I just can't get enough of it.
